Sportsmanship & Zero Tolerance Policy
At all KC&BO tournaments, we expect every coach, player, and spectator to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship. These events are about developing young athletes, building community, and enjoying the game of baseball.
Expectations:
- Head Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their team, including players, assistant coaches, parents, and fans.
- Everyone should demonstrate respect for umpires, tournament officials, opponents, and teammates at all times.
- Head Coaches are the only individuals permitted to communicate with umpires or tournament officials regarding questions or concerns. Assistant coaches, players, and fans must refrain from these interactions.
- Judgment calls (safe/out, balls/strikes) are not subject to debate or argument.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
The following behaviors will not be tolerated under any circumstances:
- Disrespectful or abusive language
- Threatening actions or intimidation
- Arguing, yelling, or out-of-control behavior directed at officials, opponents, or one’s own team
Enforcement:
- Any coach, parent, or fan who engages in prohibited behavior IS SUBJECT TO BEING ejected from the event and facility for the duration of the tournament.
- Ejected individuals must leave the facility immediately.
- Repeat or severe violations may result in additional sanctions against the team, including forfeiture of games or removal from the tournament.
Our Commitment:
We are dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and competitive environment for youth baseball. By participating in KC&BO events, all teams and families agree to honor this Zero Tolerance Policy.
